Herman Martin

Herman Samaroo Martin passed away peacefully into God's graces on December 7, 2022 at the age of 93, surrounded by his family. He will be dearly missed, and remembered as a hard worker who was first and foremost devoted to his family. Herman was born in Trinidad, West Indies and moved to the U.S. in 1969 to pursue job opportunities in preparation to move his family to Boston, Massachusetts the following year.

Herman’s primary trade was as an avid jeweler where he enjoyed making beautiful silver jeweiry by hand with his exquisite talent of intricate filigree jewelry designs. He spent many years working at Boston University Hospital and Boston Medical Center and poured his heart and soul into working multiple jobs to provide for his children.

Herman is survived by many people who loved him unconditionally including his wife Roshini, his five children Gerry, Rosemarie, Wendy, Dawn, and Addison, his seven grandchildren Chandrani, Danielle, Tara, Matthew, Austin, Zachary, and Sarah, and his great grandchild Kaeya. He was predeceased by his first wife and children's mother, Sybil and his two daughters Sharon and Toni. His request for a private family service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022
