Elizabeth Devin Obituary (1919

Elizabeth (Betty) Devin, of Dorchester, died May 4, 2011 in her home. She was the wife of the late John Devin. Born in Boston, MA she was a daughter of the late Francis and Louise (Murphy) Roach. Mrs. Devin was a lifelong resident of Boston and was an avid Red Sox fan. Betty loved the local beaches, in particular Castle Island and Nantasket. She retired from Stop & Shop in 1986 after having worked there as a secretary for 26 years. She is survived by her four daughters Judy Coleman of Quincy, Maureen Barrett of Canton, Lorraine Saulnier of NH and Patty Shaughnessy of Quincy; her two sons Kevin Devin of Scituate and Jack Devin of Dorchester; as well as 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers George and Earl Roach and a sister Louise Masterson. She was the sister of the late Francis and Lorraine Roach.
