Our History

McHoul Family Funeral Home was founded in 1950 by Alexander McHoul. During the decades of service to the Dorchester community, the staff of McHoul Family Funeral Home has refined the meaning of excellence in service.

Ryan K. O'Hanlon

Ryan K. O'Hanlon, Licensed Funeral Director and Owner of McHoul Family Funeral Home

Ryan grew up in Tipton, Oklahoma and graduated from Tipton High School in 1997. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 2001. In 2002, he graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a B.S. in Funeral Service. Ryan then moved to North Attleborough where he married the former Ms. Jamie McHoul and joined the family business. Ryan became a licensed funeral director in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2002. He worked alongside his family at the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, North Attleboro and the McHoul Funeral Home in Dorchester. In 2008, he purchased the McHoul Family Funeral Home in Dorchester and continues to uphold the funeral homes excellent reputation. Ryan is a member of the Fields Corner Main Street and the Dorchester Board of Trade. He and his wife, Jamie have five daughters, Grace Elizabeth, Faith Abigail, Noelle Kennedy, Scarlett Mercy and Finnley Paige.
